Festival of Lights...

So last weekend, Tyler and I went with our friends (yes you read right, friends) Mike and Karly Bailey to Griffith Park (where the Hollywood sign is) to see the light festival put on every year by the LA Dept. of Water and Power. Thankfully for us, the Bailey's were in the know and recommended parking and walking the route. For a half a mile long route, it can take almost 3 hours to drive it because you wait in traffic for so long just to get to the beginning of the show. Leave it to LA to make something so miserable. So we parked at the zoo and got free Starbucks before heading out into the wild. I must admit that I have been missing snow, but with snow comes bitter cold and on this particular evening, I was thankful to be living in SoCal. It was probably around 60 or 65. Just chilly enough to make it festive but warm enough to not need hats, gloves, or a coat (just a down vest did the trick). Here are some photos of the evening below.

Us at the beginning:

LAX:

Griffith Observatory:

Golden Gate (because there's nothing cool like that in LA)

Hollywood Bowl:

Christmas at Disneyland...

Vote on your favorite potential Christmas card photo. Sorry the last two are sideways. And don't suggest the Buzz Lightyear one, that is just for show.

So we went to Disneyland last week and it was all decorated for Christmas. It has been nice and cool or even cold here lately and that made the day at the park all the more enjoyable. It feels like it could be Christmastime, sans snow. And last year in Chicago there was no snow, so it feels very similar to that. Here are some pics of our day.
